We implement your project from the smallest scale to the largest plant.
What kind of energy produces a biomass system ?
A biomass system converts the amount of heat produced by the combustion of organic matter, into usable heat energy and / or electrical energy.
How dry have Pellets, wood chips, etc. to be ?
Basically biomass should be as dry as possible, preferably with less than 10 % water content.
What does local heating system mean ?
Local heating refers to a heating supply of a more restricted region. The supply of local heating is done via local heating networks, in which water is pumped through a branched pipe network. Via the heat exchanger, the water is heated by the thermal energy output of the heat generator and is transported to the consumer. There is also a heat exchanger (transfer station), which transmits the heat energy to the heating circuit of the customer. The cooled water flows back through the return.
What is a biogas plant ?
Biogas is a combustible gas mixture with the main component of methane. It is produced by the natural fermentation process of organic material in biogas plants. Due to its composition, biogas is ideal for power generation.
How does a biogas plant work ?
In a biogas plant organic material is fermented in the so-called fermenter. In this natural process, the biomass is decomposed by bacteria. As a result biogas is produced. The same process takes place in an animals stomach. After sufficient cleaning and drying, the biogas is available in form of energy now. In general, biogas is converted by an internal combustion engine (co-generation / combined heat and power plant (CHP)) into electricity and heat on site.
What distinguishes the power generation in a CHP plant to the conventional generation in a large power plant ?
In comparison to the separate production of electricity and heat in conventional power plants, CHP plants achieve savings of primary energy of 10 to 30 percent through the combined generation. The fuel demand is therefore less and the energy efficiency is significantly higher.
Can all organic materials be used for the production of biogas ?
Basically yes, but certain organic substances allow a much higher production of biogas. Corn for example has a very great potential; chicken manure, however, has a rather low potential.
I am very interested in a biomass system, what is my next step ?
